Shepherd’s Land

The Shepherd’s Land is a theme park that aims to promote the traditional livestock farming. It is in Anogia, Crete, at an altitude of 850 meters, about 1 km away from the Anogia village. The Shepherd’s Land is a representation of the livestock farming activities implemented on Mt. Psiloritis and the “mitato” – the shepherd’s house on the mountain. The visitor can tour the park, participate in experiential workshops related to the traditional shepherd’s life, taste local products, enjoy local music, participate in livestock farming activities (e.g., “koures”) and be accommodated in a “mitato”.
