This is a visitable cave located in the village of Melidoni. The cave has a long history as finds have been discovered from the Minoan era while during the Greek Revolution, the Cretans retreated to the cave where they were besieged and eventually slaughtered. Inside the cave the visitor will see a monument with the bones of the fallen.
